ANZ Hotel Scranton

I came to ANZ early in the morning, after being up all night, the lady” Deb” at the front desk, couldn’t have been any kinder or more helpful! She kindly upgraded our room, due to a situation that had nothing to do with her, no questions asked! I thought “wow, there are kind people in the world!” The next day, to our surprise the front desk lady “Friday” also, couldn’t have been more helpful and very sweet and personable! I work in hospitality, and these ladies are top notch! They have no idea that I am here because I am sick and need to be close to the hospital, they just wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The ANZ corporation are lucky to have these ladies . This hotel is a diamond in the rough,. I will be telling everyone about this quaint little hotel, solely because those two ladies made a great impression by being wonderful employees. Keep up the good work! I highly recommended this place to anyone!

we will go back! Friendly staff, comfortable spacious room. The bed was very comfortable. My husband liked it as well! the swimming pool was heated quite nicely I would say around 90 to 95°. we have no complaints! Some of the furnishings are dated, but who cares when you get an affordable clean, comfortable room! they even allowed us a late check out!

For being so inexpensive, this hotel was super nice. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the weekend and it was a great experience. The staff were great, very personable and kind, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was no sign of any mold or bugs or anything bad. The bed was super warm and comfy, there was a bunch of storage, and the water pressure in the shower was very nice. Overall an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend staying here.

when i arrived at the hotel the desk staff were unbelievably kind and super enthusiastic which as a 18 year old coming from New Zealand really made me feel at home. The room I stayed in was nice. If you are Under 21 and end up in Scranton I would recommend staying here.

Staff was super friendly, grab and go breakfast provided, beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect for us to get to the Hilton Scranton confrence center down the road. An Uber to the center was about $10-$15. Also parking was free which was highly appreciated. I don't understand hotels that charge for parking but it seems most do in this area.

What an amazing experience and graceful staff. Sabrina was a wonderful person all around, and provided exceptional service. The hotel has events supporting local artists and providing entertainment for their guests. They are extremely accommodating and friendly. This is by far the best customer service experience I have had and I will definitely be choosing them first from now on.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding. They are cheerful, helpful, accommodating and available. This gives the hotel a very positive vibe. The rooms were clean and more than adequate.

My partner and I wanted a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day and we loved this place. I booked a room for the Radisson nearby but stupidly booked it for 1/14 rather than 2/14. In a panic I started looking all around the area trying to find somewhere to stay since we were already in the area. We found this hotel and were delightfully surprised. Honestly, we didn’t expect much. Everywhere around them was booked so I guess we just assumed there was something wrong with this place. But again, we were so happy with our stay. Anne at the front desk was a highlight for us! All the staff we met were great. We met a maintenance guy and I think his name was like Bryan or something who was very friendly. But again, Anne was great and very accommodating. We both loved the pictures she showed us of her cats lol! I wish we had planned to go to this one to begin with because I would have loved to try the pool. The one thing is that the bar wasn’t open BUT we were told they plan on opening it every weekend starting soon! This was a hidden gem. VERY affordable and VERY cozy and relaxing!!
